Frederikke and Simone started Mewalii to make it easy for menstruating women to be sustainable during menstruation.

In 2019, they sat with a common frustration about the lack of sustainable sanitary napkins on subscription. That frustration quickly developed into a promise to change the consumption of intimate products. Ever since, they have been working to find a solution to replace the conventional plastic-filled pads with a more environmentally friendly alternative.

This has resulted in a hemp period pad, which is used exactly like those you know today, without the plastic.
